Conventional Methods still in use:
Even if it is:
- a high chance of destroying filters,
- harming health of operators and
- environmentally bad
· Blow guns - blowing out the air filter is the most common method to clean air filters, however this non regulated direct high pressure beam shoots holes in the filter. Dirt and
little stones can bypass the filter and destroy the engine or turbocharger.
· Washing - conventional (water) or chemical washing can destroy the coated structure of the cellulose (paper) which filters are made of and it is not recommended by filter manufacturers.
