The System
Cleaning chamber: Testing chamber:
Filterjet is an innovative, patented system for testing and cleaning air filters for combustion engines.
First, soiled air filter sare clamped in place in the testing chamber 2 to establish a pre-cleaning reading through differential pressure measurement. At the same time, the filter is inspected for possible damage. The measuring result is recorded.
Then the filter is locked on the clamping turntable 4 in the cleaning chamber. Distance sensors 6 calibrate the dimensions of the filter so the cleaning program for that particular filter type can be called upon the control unit.
The cleaning operation commences with the dual computer-controlled compressed-air nozzles 5 systematically cleaning the filter. During this process, the airflow from the compressed-air nozzle 5 pulsates, increasing the cleaning effect. The compressed aircharged with dust and sub- micron particles is evacuated from the cleaning chamber by the cyclone 10.
A microplate filter system 12 removes dust and sub-micron particles before the air is discharged into the environment again. After cleaning the filter is again placed in the testing chamber and a post-cleaning reading is taken. The results are printed out 8 on a sticker and placed on the filter.
The waste from the cleaning process is collected in a drum located below the cyclone and covered with a dust-proof seal. When full, the drum can be removed by opening a clamp for waste disposal.
